Sandra Miller holds a Master of Music Education degree in Choral Conducting and Organ Performance from Wichita State University in Kansas. She also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in music education from Anderson University in Indiana, where she was recently honored with the Outstanding Alumni award. She has taught at the University of Portland and Warner Pacific College.
Her exemplary professional career includes choral conducting of children of all ages and adult singers in community, school, musical theater and liturgical settings. She has toured extensively in the United States, Canada and Europe as a conductor and accompanist, including more than a dozen performance tours with the Oregon Children's Choir and Youth Chorale.
Mrs. Miller was named Outstanding Educator at Sunset High School, one of Oregon's premiere schools, where she worked for 12 years as Department Chair and Choral Conductor. In the fall of 2006, Mrs. Miller joined the founding faculty of the International School of Beaverton, to develop their choral music program.
She is the founder and Artistic Director of the Oregon Children's Choir and Youth Chorale. She is also active as a workshop clinician, guest director, adjudicator and church musician. Mrs. Miller is married to Dr. Thomas A. Miller, a college professor of music. They are the parents of one son, Scott.
Career highlights include conducting at Carnegie Hall, Canterbury Cathedral, the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and the Vatican.
